    Our mission

The Montreal International Black Film Festival is an innovative, bold and dynamic event aiming to stimulate the development of the independent film industry while fostering the creation of films on international black realities. We are proud to offer audiences a fresh look at black cinema from all four corners of the globe. In addition, we seek to give a voice to filmmakers who would otherwise go unheard, providing both grants and awards.
