A desperate fisherman, protests a corrupt Government on the verge of destroying his village to construct of an oil refinery project on ancestral land. His wife and his most strident supporter begs him to give up the fight for fear of more reprisals from both the Government and angry villagers clamoring for more violent protest action. But one day while out at sea, he rescues a wounded man adrift. He gives the man refuge in the village. The mysterious man observes the dire predicament facing the community and makes Joseph a perilous deal that can either save his home or signal the beginning of the end for Joseph and his community.
