{"id":11050,"date":"2018-08-23T18:10:30","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T18:10:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/montrealblackfilm.mysites.io\/?p=11050"},"modified":"2018-08-23T18:10:30","modified_gmt":"2018-08-23T18:10:30","slug":"being-black-in-montreal-come-make-your-film-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montrealblackfilm.com\/en\/being-black-in-montreal-come-make-your-film-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Being Black in Montreal: Come make your film!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Fabienne Colas Foundation is launching a call for applications for its brand new program\u00a0<strong>\u201cYouth and<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Diversity\u201d<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Montreal International Black Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>This program offers professional mentorship in the audiovisual production of a short film with the theme of\u00a0<strong>\u201cBeing Black in Montreal.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a010 young, promising filmmakers will be guided through the many steps in audiovisual production (screenwriting, directing, editing, post-production, etc.), and will create a documentary short (maximum 10 minutes). This process will be carried out under the professional tutelage of an industry professional with professional equipment from\u00a0<strong>Inis\u00a0<\/strong>(l\u2019Institut national de l\u2019image et du son) and\u00a0<strong>PRIM\u00a0<\/strong>(Productions R\u00e9alisations Ind\u00e9pendantes de Montr\u00e9al). Filmmakers will address the issue of social integration of people from black communities in Montreal through film.<\/p>\n<p>The program addresses young Montrealers between 18 and 30, who are from black communities and have a passion for cinema.
