WHAT\/WHO: <\/strong> Montreal Canadiens\u2019 defenseman and newly appointed alternate captain, PK Subban<\/strong>, will walk the red carpet and give a short speech to honour Oscar nominated director Spike Lee <\/strong>at the 10th<\/sup> Montreal International Black Film Festival.<\/p>\n

The Montreal International Black Film Festival, presented by Global, will pay tribute to Spike Lee<\/strong> by presenting him the inaugural Pioneer Award<\/strong> in recognition of his body of work which revolutionized the role of black talent in Hollywood, tearing away decades of stereotypes and marginalized portrayals to establish a new arena for African-American voices to be heard.<\/p>\n

The award ceremony will be followed by the International Premiere of Lee\u2019s latest film Da Sweet Blood of Jesus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
