In Los Angeles, Jordan and his White roommate Tyler are confronted by LAPD Officer Miller, leading to a physical altercation. Officer Phillips arrives and unfairly targets Jordan. He takes Jordan to a dark alley, delivering a disturbing racist speech. Despite fear, Jordan manages to escape. Later, Tyler engages in another altercation, but Jordan convinces the officers to release him. When Tyler provokes the officers again, Jordan finally reaches his breaking point. The officers shift their attention to Jordan, and Phillips concludes with a racist remark. This encounter transforms Jordan's perspective on the American policing system.
