BLACK MARKET

This project is funded by the Foundation for Black Communities, with partial support from the Government of Canada.

MIBFF 24 Black Market - FREE IN-PERSON and ONLINE!

An Industry Series where professionals, experts, and like-minded individuals of local and international renown will share an exciting mix of innovative perspectives and real-life experiences on today's most crucial cinematic issues.

We hope to foster future collaborations, maximize cross-border artistic exchanges and promote entrepreneurship in filmmaking. During this In-Person and Online series, the workings of the film industry will be the subject of discussions and exchanges while aiming to confront ideas and facilitate knowledge acquisition.

The MIBFF wants to give professionals and young aspiring professionals opportunities to enrich their visions, establish career paths, and networking opportunities, and acquire valuable tools through various specialized discussions, especially in a context where diversity is lacking on screens and behind the scenes across Quebec.

As part of our dynamic festival, MIBFF steps outside of the entertainment industry. Join us for community panel discussions to dissect important societal issues affecting our Black communities. These discussions create capacity building in the communities, foster greater understanding, raise awareness and create opportunities for sharing and networking.
